hey guys, sorry to bug you but i need to see if i messed up my frame. i was showing off to some girls today... and uh lol i wheelied too far back. the grab bar kept me from being crushed, i was in first gear in grass, do you think wheelieing too far back like this could damage the frame?? thanx

I think it would hurt the grabbar more than it would the frame....ive done it many times on my old 200x, only thing that ever messed up was the grabbar!

I think it will be ok. You CAN damage the frame, but not the main part. The worst that could happen it your subframe (seat mount) get bent and your fenders will be all crooked.

al right thanx, lol i ended up on my arse, the bike kept running even after it was at a 12 o clock wheelie, and draged me along. i pulled in the clutch and a friend put the bike back down. i wish i had a video though, i wanna see me being dragged through the yard

Showin off for girls and wiped out. I'd have to say your frame of mind and ego probably sustained more damage than anything else. If you can't impress them, entertain them with a wipe out!

As they say, once you get it up, you've got to know how to handle it.

i highly doubt you damaged the frame,i lost a 5th gear wheelie in bean stubble once.bent a fork, ripped off the grab bar,and bent the bars.derrick adams and mitsumerlin both wittnessed it and said it was a spectacular wreck.just wish i could of seen it and not felt it!!!!!!

I used to wheelie for about 50 or so yards on the grab bar on a SX, you won't hurt a thing unless you fall on you ***,

my friend has well had a 2004 suzuki ltz 250. ...it got stolen...but anyway..he had it and he used to do wheelies on the road all the time..he shaved his grabbar half way down./.im not even jokin..its half gone..but you still couldnt see the inside of it ...i think suzuki made them very good for that purpose..lol..that quad would stand right up in 1st-3rd....it was a beast for a 250

I love reading or hearing about showing off stories gone wrong. We have all done it Im sure. There is a Kid that lives about 12 miles up the road from me. He has an 86 350X (His parents have owned it since it was new). The school bus was dropping some kids off and he rode up on the big X and decided to "show out" a little bit. In fourth gear the wheelie got to be a little to much to handle (or he hit a pothole Im not real sure) and him and the X started going end over end and he slid down the road aways. Other than a Brused ego and some road rash he (and the X) were ok. The whole Bus got to see the little incedent. I hit the floor when his mom came in here and was telling me that story.
