The air cooler R has the HL guard allready built in! So you'de have to switch everything including the headlight.
Now a 200x guard.... I know it will bolt up fine on the triples, but it might look silly or might not even clear the HL plastic. The 350x and 200x headlights are quite different!
There is a dude that sells wierd looking chrome 350x guards on eBay, $60 BIN
Here is a pic from my archives of a 200x with guard.
Oh... also here is a pic of the 350x guard I'm talking about mounted on the machine.

If you have 350X triples on your machine, a 200X headlight guard I'm about 99% sure will mount onto the triples.. Well... If it's a Hondaline HL Guard and mounts to the top and bottom cross bars of the tripple and not the fork mounting bolts like some aftermarket ones. HOWEVER, I am not sure how you would mount a 200X headlight, because it uses those little bolt on things under the top triple and the posts that go into the lower triple right??? (350X has the rubber quick disconects around the forks for the HL mount) A 350X will NOT have these places. Now, a 83-84R triples/forks have the same diameter as a 350X.... wonder if you used a set of 83/84R triples if you could mount the 83/84R headlights and slap the 350X forks into the triples??? If you have a 83/84 Headlight, it does have a sorta built in guard, but then you can get a "Lens Protector" guard from Hondaline... they came in chrome, and either black or red... It's basically a wire grid that goes in front of your headlight glass.

If it's the kind that bolts on to the fork mounting bolts it will work as well, that's what's on the SX w/200x front end (350x guard that bolts onto the fork mounting bolts)
Those Lens protectors are cool. They also made an aftermarket one, one which I have sitting on my shelf.
Here is the Hondaline one:

the 350x looks like it has the holes so you can mount up the 200x headlight if im not mistakin. it has the 2 holes on the bottom tripple. what i want to do is mount a 200x headling on my 200x but i have the 350x front end. so will a 200x headlight and guard work on the 350x tripples is what im asking. it looks as it will.

Dude... then just do it and stop asking us! I don't have a 200X headlight ... well I should say I don't have a 200X mounting brack to test it out. If you have a bracket then try it! If it works... let us all know.

I have both machines and the guard I have which is red and I don't really like, fits on both of them  Although it isn't mounted on either of them  and I don't know which one it is for but I did get it with my 350x.

In my mind it's not a question of the guards fitting... my question is if the 350X triples have the places on them for the 200X headlight mounting bracket.

look at 86 200x headlight or 250r. Like what 350x'inNy said. You have to use the headlight with the little rubber quick disconnect thingys. Now With that being said the 86 200x headlight grill will fit the 350x.

Today I noticed that my 350x (which I bought had extra front forks)may not have the right front trees and shocks on it, so I have to change my reply to, I am not sure if they are the same. Thanks :wondering
