HAs anyone heard what the MSRP and availability of the new Suzuki 450 is? A buddy of mine put a deposit on one here at a local dealer on Thursday, but...he NOR the dealer knows what it is gonna cost yet! All I have heard is that the thing is supposed to be nasty as hell...fuel injected, light, and wicked fast. Race ready off the floor- supposedly  But, you never know. Anyone got any more details? Why is it so hush-hush?

Those greedy dealers will do anything, bro. Especially if it involves taking your money. I for one would NEVER put a deposit down on something I could not fondle first....much less even just LOOK AT IT!

I can't wait to see a pic of it. I hope it is better than the Yami. I am sick of hearing how great the YFZ 450 is.

It WILL be better than the Yamaha. Or so rumor has it. With EFI, and suspension that is race ready, how can it be inferior? Suzuki's simple tactic is to wait and see what Honda and Yammie do, and then one-up them by building something better, faster, and competatively priced.

LOL, I guess I kind of am too but it is a good machine. The way Doug Gust and his team make the Z400 kick ass I'm sure a new 450 from zuk will do just fine.

No way he put a deposit on it? Wow! guess you know him better than I do. Saw the printed receipt, dude. I got better things to do than make stuff like this up. Just thought I would share this with you all, cause I thought it was pretty odd. You don't have to believe me....and I do not care if you do. Just sharing.

I put a deposit on my 450R about 5 months before they came out. You can do it.

The new Z450 is impressive. I watched Jeremiah Jones and Doug Gust kick some serious arse on them today at the ATV national in Unadilla,NY.The YFZ's and 450r's and other thumpers were right there with them though.I dont have any details on the zukes but I did get some nice pics of them.,,and some autographed posters :w00t:

Jim, you sure thats the new 450? I heard rumors over on bt that they were racing them stock. And how they are about 3 inches wider on each side than the 450s. With suspension comparable to ELKA and such. I also heard that they werent going to be released untill late next year.

I read in dirtwheels that the new quadracer 450 will not share any parts with the z400, but who knows. Last I knew team suzuki's quads were just modded out z400's (yoshi's 450cc kit, ect) this hasn't changed has it?

That's kinda what I am wondering. What suspension tricks do they have up their sleeve? I know about the fuel injection and more aluminum (lighter), but suposedly the suspension is trick as hell. It's quite the buzz around here.

yea the quads that gust is running is a factory 450, its just a z400 with a factory suzuki built 450 bore and stroke..so its really just a 400 with a built up motor, not an actual 450..

I'm gonna have to disagree. The new 450 is kind of like the raptor 700, basically a whole new quad.

"Yoshimura has taken it's 2 Time W.O.R.C.S Championship winning DR-Z450 engine kit and reworked it for the Suzuki LT-Z400. The result of this engine kit is the LT-Z450. Yoshimura is supporting William Yokley and Doug "Digger" Gust for the GNCC and GNC championships"
