I got an 85 BIGRED and the brakes were real weak. I got new shoes and took the brakes apart, when I looked in there the shoes seemed to have a decent amount of lining left. So I cleaned them up lubed the little pivot item in there and lubed the cables (which are pretty new) I can't get them to work great.... still mushy and if I tighten up the cables they start to drag. I'm thinking for the front, could it be it has a crappy brake lever? Maybe the springs are shot.. Or whatever? Any recomendations? As for the rear, (on the item where the cables go {near the axle}) which one is supposed to go on top... the foot brake or the hand brake? Also has anybody put a 250sx front end on a BIGRED?
