Reminds me of the good ole days at Riley. My favorite one is the twin HK-21's on the anti-aircraft mount - awesome. Personally, I've shot at least 3/4 of those weapons - just not at one time. Never shot a big cannon baller, nor an M1917, or an UZI with a silencer. I couldn't tell from the picture if the German machine gun was an MG42 or a modern MG3 - I've shot the MG3. I dont know how well that red-dot sight on the M2HB would work in real combat. Looks like they had a great time and the kids were well supervised. My only worry is that this might fall into "someones" hands and become propaganda against us gun owners.

Man id give my left nut to do that for a day! I think the german gun was an MG42 because of the way it fired its was like a buzzing noise. And those to G3's mounted together omg that was the coolest thing ive ever seen! Only thing i dont get is how are they rednecks?

I regularly shoot HK MP-5s and G-3s, but I never holler WOOO-HOO!!!!!! after i am done burning through a magazine at full auto. Although the kids are well supervised, an automatic weapon does NOT belong in a child's hands. Period. :(

That is alot of ammo. But in all seriousness, no child should be aloud to shoot a fullauto weapon, just wrong.

well, gotta love the 7 yr olds shooting fully automatic weapons, and i gotta say, only in the south will the rednecks go as far as putting their grandmother behind 2 huge-ass machine guns...i hope that footage was pre-9/11 cause if it is after 9/11 the whole homeland security thing is a waste of money.

It dosent matter if it was before or after 9/11. You can still get any of those guns today with a class III 'license'.

And about the kids shooting the F/A's....they are perfectly fine. They are well supervised. The adults are holding the guns, and stabilizing the kids. Nothing wrong with that.

WOW

I made the comment about the kids because, at that age- let's say 7- They do not have a RESPECT for the power, or the seriousness, of what they are doing. Can a 7 year old drive a car? Yes. That does not mean it is Ok.
I am not some anti- gun guy, trust me. I had a .410 at age 10 and my 22 rifle for my 9th birthday. Grew up hunting, etc. I own and am responsible for many firearms. As far as the kids-
their judgement and mental capacity to actually understand the significance of handling an automatic weapon is just not there. Hence, my comments and opinion.... No matter the supervision, just plain irresponsible.

Hahaha thats a pretty neat video. I think it'd be cool if we made a couple million copies of that to VHS tapes and dropped them and some leaflets in some arab countries. Let all of them know that if anyone gets the idea of coming over here and starting **** ona big scale thats what they are going to be up against.

Exactly!!! You don't have to be from down in thu woods ** away in dur hills to enjoy firearms, and many non "rednecks" enjoy firearms as well. I also disagree that children shouldn't be allowed to experience automatic weapons. I also experienced "better than average" firepower at a fairly young age. Safely supervising children and having them in a safe environment is what makes the difference. Those kids have just developed a far better respect for automatic weapons than they ever would have playing a video game, those kids will now understand what those guns can do and how to safely operate them, and they will pass that knowledge down to future generations so our heritage will be preserved. I guarantee that the teenagers you see shooting people with paintball guns in the city out of cars never had an opporitunity to learn like those kids just had and their parents never took them to the range to learn proper firearms safety and ettiquitte.

Rodger that piston head! :w00t:

Sorry Wheelie. I think the world of you, but I am on the side of the machine gunners in the video. My dad had me at the range at a very early age. He was a range instructor for the Sheriff's office and prior to that a sniper in the Marine Corps. Who better to learn from? He would take me to the range when he was not working the road. I developed a good understanding of firearms and law enforcement by being exposed to both so early in life. I fired a great assortment of firearms prior to serving in the Marine Corps. We did not need any child safety locks when I was growing up.

OK. Apparently I am misunderstood.

I certainly never called anyone a redneck. I just thought select persons' behavior was a little gooberish- meaning, silly. Cheering and jumping up and down like a whacko after spending a belt of ammunition at full auto? C'mon. I just thought that was a little off.

I agree with youth shooting sports! I just do not agree that a KID should handle a full auto weapon. I am a (lifelong) member of the NRA, and as indicated in my earlier post, had my first firearm at age nine. My father (USAF Retired Captain) taught me to shoot at an early age as well. I am a law enforcement officer, and do not go ANYWHERE without at least one pistol. I understand and appreciate you guy's point of view, but I think that exposure of full auto weapons to young children is just a little too much too soon. That's all.

I guess I view firearms too seriously. It is part of my job, and life. Hell, I just got home from work, and there is one on my ankle and one in my back pocket. I did not mean to step on any of you guys' fun by being to serious. That's just the way I view it.

No argument there. It is rather "gooberish" (I have a new word now) to perform a happy dnace. However, for people who are not accustom to such things, I think I can understand their excitment. Hey greg, I had no idea you were in law enforcment. :p

^^^ I think it's just the sheer adrenelin rush you get. You have to remember these people arn't in the armed forces or law enforcement agrncies so to fire something with sooooooooo much power was proubly quiete a rush for them. Plus mostly it was that girl, she seemed wacked from the start.....lol
