Has anyone ever listed something on ebay that they don't want to seel but just to see what the price would get to? Like setting the reserve so high that it will never get reached. I was thinking of listing my Tri-z for fun to see how high it would go for like a price guide. :wondering

go for it i say, screw them all!!!!!!! let them get their hopes up,only to be broken down by a price guide.

and if you dont mind spending money to see that your bike is worth 1/4 of what you think. still i say do it!

You think this is a bad idea? What is the most it could cost $5?

I thought to list a bike the right way it was like 50 bucks!. I think the price for a 3 wheeler is based on condition of course but also has a little to do with who's in the game at the time of the listing and location.

Actually you don't get charged for listing your item if it doesn't sell. Don't quote me on that.. but I'm pretty sure thats how it is..

what if someone meets the reserve? Not a good idea i think.

Well thats why you set the reserve at like $30,000. So if someone DOES meet the reserve, you can sell your trike, and buy 3 more and make them VERY VERY nice for that amount of money.

True but it is still a lame idea... If I was bidding on something I would expect to be bidding on a real auction.

I love Z's and I thinks yours is great but they dont seem to going for much $$. I dont think Ive seen the top original ones go over $2200. Nice ones seem to be going for 1300-1600 with plenty of beat up ones for much less.

You do get charged, and its not cheap to list a machine anymore. If memory serves, the price of listing also goes higher with the higher reserve.
The only way they dont charge you if it doesnt sell, is if you sell it the second time you list it.....

LOl... you can do whatever you want. But if you think it through a little what if you were bidding on a trike on ebay? It would be cool to know how much people are willing to pay though... I would like to know how much mine is worth too bad someone couldn't come up with a better idea. Maybe like a best offer kind of auction or something.

Your machine is worth whatever you want it to be. You dont need tards on ebay telling you how much your machine is worth. To some, it might be worth $200, to others, they might give you $3000... its all up to who wants it and how bad. All of my machines are for sale, but only if the price is right.. hahaha Thats the way I sold my 86 Z,.. someone wanted it bad enough to give me what I wanted for it, and I wasnt trying to really sell it.

an auction in powersports/atv has a 30 dollar insertion fee. then you have a 5 dollar reserve fee. then you usuall add about 3 bucks in pics ,galleries and bolds.
