84 250r shock question please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

will a shock from a cr 250 of the same year fit? i have no way to measure the mountings. it is 18" long though not 14". will that give the trike more ride height or will that remain the same and the shock will just be halfway through the stroke?

there are so many factors that go into the way shocks mount, the only way to go is to get yourself an 84 shock and slap her on

i know a 86r shock will not fit on an 84 with out mods.and it is only 2 inches longer

dude you are screwed. ive been, and still am looking for a good shock. ive tried about everything out there. good luck.
