In January of 06 it will be 24 years for me riding 3 wheelers. And I can proudly say that my most serious injury is a Bruised side. No broken bones or fractured anything. Just was kind of curious what your worst injuries were and how did you get them.

In nearly 4 years of riding, I haven't got one single injury :). I've never flipped a trike.. never hit anything with it... and I can proudly say I've only ever had 2 close calls, and that was just from overturning and the rear wheel going about 2-3 feet in the air.. no biggie.
But my brother flipped a trike once. He was pullin a sled around with my neighbors little kid in it, and I was watching.. and he tried to slide around a pretty sharp turn while giving it about 1/2 throttle to spin the tires while going around the turn, and next thing I knew the tires grabbed hold and the trike was laying on top of him. Surprisingly there was not a single scratch on the trike, and he was fine.. just rattled a little bit.

i was rididng my 225 at our cabin and one of the hay fields is kinda ruff from where it has been plowed,i was going kinda fast showing off for an old girlfriend and hit a bump just right and my foot slipped off the peg the rear wheel grabbed and pulled it down acrross the peg resulting in a 4'' long gouge in my right leg,or the time i clipped a deer with my t3, that just knocked the wind out off me,i ride like and animal sometimes.i've never broken anything on a trike or quad just harleys and horses. my cousin once said i'am the funniest person to watch ride any thing and my wife said i ride like a maniac :w00t: :naughty:

I've been riding 3-wheelers for about 10 years. I've flipped a couple but nothing major.

I acutally did break a finger on a 1982 ATC200. It was pretty messed up too. I had to get 2 stainless steel pins put in through the top of my left ring finger. They went through the first joint so I couldn't bend it. They were taken out after 6 weeks. That happened when I was 18.
It broke when the rope starter pulled out my wet hand!! I know it's happened to you guys and it hurts but I bet you didn't think it could mess your finger up that bad.

I hate when the rope starter jerks your arm or hand. It hurts like hell. Thats why I'm glad my SX has a kick start. My dad can keep his Big Red's with rope start.. lol.

i have a couple short fingers on my left hand (sprocket bite - 185-s)
broke shoulder bone that sticks up a inch or so ( bucking 350x ).
might as well blame a couple blown/cracked disc from sevral tumbles down hills on various trikes i have owned.

that's about it ,,, john

My worst 3 wheeler injury was about 4 years ago. I wrecked my 250R and broke my cheek bone, Nose in two places, split my chin open, road rash on the right side of my face and ear and neck. I also have a compound fracture to my T-7 vertebre. Broke two fingers. And hurt my right leg and knee, I guess from me flying through the air and hitting a rock road at about 40 mph. And just bruised the rest of my body. I had to go back to the hospital for nose surgery about a month later after my broken cheek and nose healed up a bit, to have my broken twisted nose refractured and straightened. It still hurts. As I am typing this my back hurts. All this injury with no helmet. I had just changed to sprockets and just was going for a test ride down a trail and back. Luckily there was another guy I know on his four wheeler that found me laying in the trail knocked out and bleeding. I got airlifted out. Another time I hit a tree with the back tire of my 250SX and flipped it and knocked myself out. Back about 1985 or so on Easter Sunday my dad was riding a Tri Moto and was racing my brother and flipped it and broke his back. He was in a back brace for 6 months.

Ive been riding for 3 years now, the worst injury is from jumpin the tri-z and fallin off the back because i was back way too far, I have lost feeling in about a 3" area on the side of my knee, that was caused by my leg goin up and hitting the edge of the handle bar. I have never rolled any of my trikes, i have ran into black berries twice and have had about 3-4 close calls.

Last night a bomb exploded in my pants. Stunk like hell too. Never been hurt bad on a trike, only scratches and bruises. Like Swinehart, I have some short fingers from a sprocket bite but it was caused by an old lawnmower/go cart project when I was a kid. Guys, KEEP YER HANDS AWAY FROM THAT CHAIN!

My brother ran me over on a 185s, huge bruises from that when I was like 10-. Minor scrapes, I was on the Z with both my feet on a Broken grab bar, when it broke I slid of the end scraping myself on the still mounted broken grab bar on the Z. More bruises from when I fell of the back trying to do a catwalk. Flipped the 185s into a concrete wall, could not turn that sharp lol. Never flipped the Z, I cant the rear wheels always break lose!

In 79 I bounced the back end of an ATC 110 up so high, it flipped me over the handlebars & landed on me - broken colloar bone.

In 85 I entered onto a 2 track and started screaming down it with my ATC 250R. Little did I know the road was blocked at most entrances for a horse race. Hit a horse nearly head on breaking a bone in my left wrist and a couple of ribs broken.

In 86 I flipped my 250R when sliding sideways at high speed, coming off of gravel to hit pavement. broke a bone in my right wrist.

Fractured my left hand.... tape and popsicle sticks did the trick for a few weeks until the pain went away..

I HATE HOSPITALS .... so if it ain't bleeding.... very very bad... i don't go.

Was following a train track at a bad angle. and hit a wash out... went into a ditch and stayed on.. but once i got to the bottom i had to bail as i was at a 50 degree angle.. when i jumped off i hit my hand on a rock and fractured a bunch of bones.... pushed it back on it's wheels.. rode up the hill and kept driving. god daym that hurt.

I got knocked out a few times on my dirt bikes, but never nothing on a trike more serious than a couple of stitches back in the early 80's.In fact, the last two times I went riding with my friends, 2 quads and 2 bikes, all wiped out at least twice and I did not at all  I guess they didn't read the warning labels or couldn't

I didn't exactly tell the whole story. The rider of the horse was very sore but managed to get away with only bruises.

The horse ran off into the woods and wasn't found until about 8 hours later. It too was stiff and obviously bruised but nothing really damaged for too long.

Never got hurt on my trike but wiped my dirt bike out hard. My left hand swelled up but didn't even notice that pain because i burnt my right leg from my calf all the up to the top of my thigh. They said it was 2nd degree, i still have a scar. I was STUPID, i was wearing shorts. My husband noticed a weird smell and, yep it was my skin. There was a piece, about the size of a strip of bacon, attached to the head pipe. Hurt like heck!! Was on crutches for a month but was back riding before that!! My husband asked me what hurt more, labor pain or the burn. I have to say the BURN!

I've only ever sort of flipped myself off in really deep snow doing really slow donuts as a goof because it is more fun than anything else and the trike is still running when I get up and jump back on, I've still ride the same big red that I was riding in my backyard when I was 5 years old. I've never had an incident with trikes at all, when I was first really old enough to do lots of solo riding far away from home (about 11 years oldish I guess) I rolled my Dad's friends quad in the woods and really bent the bars and broke some plastics, but I mainly came out with bruises. Earlier this summer I jumped on my Grandpa's horse bareback with no bridle and it took off running and started to buck so after I held on for 8 or 10 seconds it launched me 10 feet or so into the air but I've got lots of experience riding horses so I got away with a slight back ache for a couple of hours.

well i think i should add to this one as i managed to get a photo of the trike :) i was cruising along a dirt road and there is a small bend ahead now i have been up and down this road 10-15 times so i know how tight it is, well i was doing 50 according to the sepeedo on the dirtbike following me and the front wheel on the trike hi some loose gravel i hit the brake gently to slow it donw nothing locked instantly. and the trike went in a straiight line i maybe slowed down 5 mph. by this time im at the edge of the road and it drops off into the bushes . i fly into the and at this point the trike is on its side in mid air as one wheel went off the road first. i cut the engine in the air by accident(a good thing) and when into a thick bush probably doing 35mph me going first. i missed a tree by a foot. i was sliding along the ground with the trike following and came up to a thick branch. it hit my back and the trike followed me. it slowed the bike down very fast and i stopped. the guy on the dirtbike has stopped and come running to see how i am. the trike is upside down but he sees im fine. I was wearing my helmet and there is a very large scratch in it. probably caused by one of the trees i flattened on my way in . all i had was a few scratched on my back. at this point im think ohhh no this is the end of riding for today. i upright the klt200 and hit the start button fired up stragt away not a break in the plastic. Nothing was damaged. im amazed how well both me and the trike came off after going in at almost 40 mph. that my worst injury and im sure it would have been worse if i was not wearing my brain bucket :).

I ran myself over when I was about 11 years old; the trike leaned over, my leg got caught , and it ripped me off the bike, I scraped my calf muscle. Then at about 14 my cousin and I were hauling ass down a trail and my cousin tried to climb a huge dirt hill, right at the lip of the hill, the trike ran out of steam and flipped over on to us. I was on the back in two up riding, the trike crushed him, then crushed me, I absorebd the whole crash. I believe it was an ATC110.

The first accident I was so embarrased, but was OK. The second accident could have killed both of us or at least me; however, after the bike flipped on us and we tumbled down the hill, we got up, both looked at each other, saw that we were OK, and busted out laughing. I told him that I didn't want to ride with him anymore and it was time to go home, he agreed (rare). He was crazy and still is to this day.

Later on in life about three years later he tried to squeeze his Impala in between two trees that were about 4 feet apart. That kid could destroy anything.
