aH Blue maer plastics! Sweet. Probably an old engine/tranny would cost 400$$? Seems to be a whole lot more for four strokes. Take it now and save the trike. I would price that bike at a good 150$$ or less.

Ohh yes what part of Cali are you at? I don't know of anywhere to find things like that. Where do you find these sorts of things? :wondering

im in orange county. there seem to be a lot more of these bike grave yards up north though i saw a place on my way to gorman off of the 5 freeway that had at least 15-20 trikes looking for a new lowner to revive them. didnt get the name of the place but my next trip up there i will stop by and check it out

what a shame... Those are very hard to come by where I'm located. And to have one just sitting there rotting away.... makes me sad.

same here what makes me sadder is not having any money or space to save it.

Painted stock plastic...looks like a basket case to me. Save yourself some money and go find a complete one to buy, you'll spend a whole lot more money that way.

yeah the plastics are actually red under that blue paint. i was a bit tempted to make an offer on it and just frankenstien a bigger motor into it but i already have 2 trikes that are works in progress so its still sitting there looking for a new owner.

Yes, but you could buy it and sell the parts to people in need. So the parts can live their lives, lol, but serious. What a waste for it to sit there like that.

Dang, You say there are a lot of places up there? When we all go for the thanksgiving ride, we should all take a short trip to these "grave yards" and see what we can rescue.

It isn't really worth trying to save from the looks of it unless you want to put alot of work and money into it. I mean it is missing some of the hardest to get parts. I got my 84 tecate for 450 bucks. I put 45 bucks into it and it ran. But it seems that most people don't want a tecate because A: its not a Honda and B: They think they are ridden with problems and are hard to maintain because they think they just fall apart. But hey If I had an endless supply of money I would buy every 84-85 tecate I could find. i am not really a big fan of the 86-7's but I would be more than happy to own a few.
