Got me some new decals for the SX project ...Put on and Done...

Got me these new decals. Hopefully they will go on this weekend after the tank is painted (but since I'm planning for them to go on this weekend most likely it wont happen).

Gas tank :D so it can be sen by all. Maybe I should send this pic to the anti-atv people. If you want some I'll give you a guy to contact on ebay. He customized them for me.

Haha. I like them. I'm considering getting decals to stick all over my rear plastics because they're **** anyway. I would never stick anything on my front fender though, because I took so much time renewing it, and I would never stick it on my tank either.. just for the simple fact that its been such a pain in the ass to paint, and it cost me over $100 for the paint and Honda decals for it. But how much did that cost you?? I'd love to get some funny decals to stick on my rear fender.

6 bucks for them including shipping (yeah i know its a high price but I think i'll get the results I'm looking for with these) and the paint was $4.00. lol.

Whaaaaaaaaaat? What kind of paint are you using??? You etiher have connections, or are using spray paint. lol

I used the actual automotive paint.. Chevy Super Red. Wasn't cheap.

I used the Wal-Mart special Rose Red paint and primer :naughty: . my baby is gonna get scratched anyway so I'm not gonna buy pricey paint for her.

Thats true. But with automotive paint, if it scratches, you can just buff it out usually.

Don't you know that for each sticker you add to your ride actually makes it go faster. 1 sticker = 1 m.p.h. :lol:

What kind of a decals is that? Is it like one solid piece of laminate or w/e that is printed on, or is it cut out and every letter/picture is an individual piece.. just arranged on the paper and then when you press it onto the tank, it will be on there?

Most of the time when you buy a part for your bike they give you a sticker... Therefore adding performance to your trike. ;) I even cheated a little and have some stickers but not the part! My ride id FAST!!!

wheelipop, That's pretty cool. take some pics when you have it on there. :naughty: I've been looking for the one sticker it goes get on, sit down, shut up and hang on. Ever see those anywhere? :beer

Good question. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm 1 piece. Its white and will show through in certain spots like this decal I did.

And this decal doesnt do that. this adds 1 H.P., A FLAME or roadrunner decal adds 1 m.p.h. God dont you read any of these posts :lol:

if you want that sit down shut up yadda yada yadda decal you can ask the guy I bought mine off of. He'd make a couple for ya and put them on ebay. I'll go look for his name now.

Well I got the tank painted and clear coated and tomorrow morning I'm gonna stick the decals on. This as as far as I've gotten

Theres the decal I have on my plastic at the moment.. lol. I'm hoping to find more that say stuff like that to stick on my rear fender.

And my tank is going to be back in my hands by Friday :). He is going to let the tank dry for a few days, then wet sand it Thursday to make it ultra-smooth, and then repaint it to give it a mirror-like finish. Hehe. So the bike should be all done by this Saturday!!! I'll be sure to post a ton of pics as soon as I get it all together, go for a test ride, and get some nice pics of it all done.

Yeah. Some guy at a local fair sold joke-ish type stuff.. and decals/stickers. All of the stickers were funny, but I just had to get this one since my family always makes jokes about being Stormers. Like we do or say something stupid, and someone always says "yup.. hes definately a Stormer".. so I thought this sticker was fitting.

Here ya go. The paint on the tank looks damn close to the color it should be even though it wasnt the color I wanted

Haha. I like it. although you should have bought some bondo and filler primer and filled that dent. I had 4 dents on my gas tank, and I bought some bondo, filled them in, put a thick layer of filler primer on it, sanded it until it has the right curves and such.. and then painted it. After painting, it looks like a mint condition tank. You can't even see that there were any dents there.. and one of the dents was half the size of the left side of the tank.

I'm not too worried about dents. If I go crazy and want to make it look really good I'll go get a plastic tank.

Did you pull the dints at all?
Sorry to tell ya, but if you just slap a big chunk of bondo in there, you can bet on it cracking or falling out in a year or so.
