new guy klt

I just got a klt 200. Its been sitting for a couple of years. I just cleaned the fuel tank and the fuel pump doesnt seem to work. Can I replace this with an electric pump? The guy that owned it before said it allways started hard due to the gas draining back to the tank. What kind of pump can I use? Thanks

hey :welcome: these klts are very sensitive when it comes to thier fuel pumps have you first found where it is? and checked all your wires and grounds are good. if your still out of luck you can fit any pump to it but it cant be too high pressure. if you want to test the trike rig up a fuel supply some other way.

Not sure exactly how the fuel pump works on those machines but i will assume its vacum opperated. If it is no longer availible from Kawi (I doubt that it is) A Yamaha 660 Rhino uses a Vacum pump on it. There might be a way to make it work on the machine.
