Need to set up an account in OEx on the laptop. Youll need DNS, username and password information, either from your ISP, or from the old computer (if it works). Id recommend dumping OEx, its a favorite target for viruses and hackers. Netscape 7x!

A quick google search on that error gave this :
http://www.domainscape.co.uk/technical_faq/outlookexpress_errormessages.htm
Simply call up your provider twcny.rr.com no sure who that is.. but that's why you pay them for internet access.. call the helpdesk.. simply explain " I changed from a desktop to a laptop.. i can't open my e-mail " they should be able to walk you thru in in 5 minutes if you can get thru their phone support. ( I do this for a living and we have a wait time of 5 minutes or less.. usually no wait... call Rogers cable and expect an hour on hold.. ugh.. )
You basically have to enter your username and password into the outlook " Accounts" portion.. no biggie.. just a setup problem.
Look under " Tools " and " Accounts " .. click on " Properties " and check the tabs at the top for a section about server username and password.. re-enter them.. usually case sensitive.
If you have a wack of accounts listed on there.. you might have to delete the one's that don't belong or doubles....

I suspect the server name is incorrect: pop3tgrange2@twcny.rr.com Looks like part of your user name is in it. The ISP can give you server names.

Yea, like said above - is your email really pop3********
probably not. Pop3 is your mail server (Post Office Protocol). You need to look over your settings.
