I mad a web site containing my problems (updated):

read and enjoy!
So aside from the questions on the page. is there anything i should do when re installing the cam shaft? I didnt not find TDC when removeing it. rather, just unbolted and removed it.
if there is or could be a problem with my "that should be how it went in" method, what should i do prior to reinstalling the cam?
well, it was not nessacary to pull the cam out as the only thing that was broke from what i can see is the spark advanced locating pin..it just push's into the cam closer to the lobed side and holds the spark advanced weights in place, that is what broke, and was more than lilkely ratlling around in there, to put the timing dead on again, take the spark plug out and bring the motor to top dead center with the cam out, DONT drop the cam chain down the case, when you have detirmend it is at TDC put the cam in with the lobes facing DOWN towards the crankshaft, ther shouldbe a little round mark or a line on the camshaft, gear, and in the head, they should line up with the T mark on the flywheel off the crank, if you look beside your pull start there should be a big flat head screw, take that out to Find the T mark, i have attacthd a picture of the Spark advanced locating pin for clarification..it comes out, may have to be drilled a littlle to get it loose and a new one can be bought from honda and put in, i would reccomend some red or blue loctite on it to keep it in there good..

While gathering up parts so i would not loose them, the other half of the pin fell out. so i guess its a siple matter of putting in a new spark advanced locating pin, and being on my way. what might this cost me? and how could i order it? there is no honda dealers around here except for auto dealerships. and you mentioned a pull start. this is a 200, with a kick start....

Page is updated. If anyone out there thinks they can help, please feel free to reply.
So, i tried to find TDC, and install the cam acordingly. I think i did it as i was suposed too. but it was a little hard with that chain not wanting to move. there is a grove on the gear that is supposed to be lined up with a grove on the to of the cylinder. problem is, that cam can be installed in 2 directions, lets call them up and down. im assumeing i got it right, but i dont know for sure.

I did most of that. problem is its a hair off. should i do this all over again and make sure its perfect?
Anyone ever done this have any pointers for me?
The lobes of the cam should have been pointing down when the it was set in with the piston at top dead center.

if your chain is well worn. the marks may not line up perfectly... but if you jump the chain one tooth ahead and then one tooth behind.. you will be able to determine wich one is the correct tooth . the one that lines up the closest.. should be very close tho.. . Remove the tension on the chain by pushing down on the adjuster.
