Well here's the rear shock on the bike. I need to fab some custom lower mounts so that I can adjust the ride height some. I have the spring set all the way loose.
To do it right and take advantage of the extra 3 inchs of travel (Yes Tim, we checked it today) I'll need the bottom of the shock to set lower so I can adjust the spring and use more of the shock.
I can't really say it's an improvement over the stock rear shock, as I really didn't put it thru the paces, but I can tell you that at my height and weight, it fits me awesome now!
All in all, I think it was a worthwhile swap for me and once I get an adjustable link on the back I can tailor it to different tire sizes and track conditions.
Did I mention the 13" of chassis ground clearance?
Next up is the CR500 front fork swap. I plan to use a 10" Douglas wheel with a 21" front quad tire. Looks like it will sit about the same when it's done. Maybe an inch taller in front. I'm just waiting on the machine shop bill from the last set of triples to see if I want to go thru with it or not.
