I saw this nearly a 1/2 year ago and the guy called me back :Bounce and wants to sell it.
It actually is in decent shape except for the rusted area in back and on under side of frame. Does not need new frame as rust is not that deep.
Seat amazingly is perfect, just dirty, that's all.
The plastic is only broke on LS of front fender as you can see and will clean up fantastic. I can't recall if the motor is seized or not but lets just say it needs a good carb cleaning to get the engine to run.
I don't know about chain, sprockets, and brakes but those are all pretty minor if it would need them. All the cable and levers (for once) are there too and the first one I saw (out of every 225-200 that I saw) that does not have a bent dash.
How much would you pay $100-150 tops? What year is this also?

the first one I saw (out of every 225-200 that I saw) that does not have a bent dash. lol .... that is so true!.
It amazes me the things people do to their posessions?!?!?. It looks like an '85. I would have to dispute that "frame ok" statement - it looks dangerously rusted in the area under the oil pump housing. I would ask him a few questions before offering him any money. Why did you park it - i.e. why is it up on a jack in your back yard?. I would find it hard to believe just a bad rim or flat tire lead him to leave it that way. How long has it been sitting?, Did it run, drive?. I would be willing to bet alot of the wiring is brittle now and all sorts of critters have moved into it - so check all of that. If its siezed up or there are tranny/rear issues - I would first offer him $50 - $100 and probably part it. If it runs and there are minor issues - looks like a good canidate for a resto, although the frame rust is a little worrisome. I would really focus on that as a barganing point and start at as low as what ever you are comfortable in offering. You never really know what someone is willing to take - keep that in mind. People don't always take value in the same things you do.

Oh, believe me, I know to ask all those ?'s. I'll look at the frame area closer when I go there but if I recall it was just heavy surface rust but being that you have concern about it I'll inspect it really good. I have one (a 225) now that was totally siezed with a good 12 ozs of water that came out of motor 1st when draining it. I put fresh oil in, unsiezed it (couldn't believe I unsiezed it) a little at a time using a socket wrench on flywheel nut, fixed the pull start and on 3rd try it started right up! It sat for over 5 years out in the snow! I'm sure others have stories along t5hose lines too. Pretty darn AMAZING !!!

I'm sure others have stories along those lines too. Pretty darn AMAZING !!! Dude - Pennsylvainia will WRECK anything mechanical if its left outside. There's a reason why they call it (and the rest of the upper mid-atlantic) the "Arsehole of the world" when it comes to weather. Anyway, its the pitting in the rust of the frame that is worrisome to me - but I'm not there to look at it. If you feel good about it, low ball him and see what happens. That thing is in pretty decent shape otherwise.
$100 is all i would give him.

I would say about $100. If I really thought that the engine was good as is then I might go for $150 because it is complete looking.
oh yeah, going by the sticker I am thinking it is an '83 but it doesn't matter much with the 200's because they were nearly identical for all 3 years.

It has a few small issues (wheel berings - pull starter rope ect. ) but Hondaline Hartman said he wanted it so I bought it. Probbly get it to my house as soon as I get done working on my trikes and other friends trikes.
