Ok, as some of you guys know i have a 225 dx and it ok with power, but my freind has the same trike (225 dx) and he has all the plastics on and is heavyer. When we race i take off way faster and always about one car's lenght in front of him but right when i hit 5 and he hits 5th gear he passes me. So he always wins if its long enough race to get to 5 gear. he has a dg muffler, i know its a performance muffler, but does it give alot of extra power, or a littel. Do * guys think this is why he is always beating me, (btw im all stock).

If i have the factory muffler, am im Not using the power i could get with a performance pipe. Would i get more top end power?? Or is the stock muffler a good, one, and does it have "restrictions" not getting all the power i could get/ (ohh yea i dide take the baffel out tho)

I have a Cobra pipe on one of my DRs & stock exhaust on my DX & the other DR. They are dead even until 5th gear. There is a noticeable difference in top end power with the Cobra pipe.
Do you have the same size of rear tires as your friend? If his tires are even a little bit taller, you will never catch him on top end. This has the same effect as if you had a higher (lower speed) gear ratio in the rear differential.

my tires are bigger, but for the same trike his trike seems more beefy his engine looke as it is bigger but isent than mine, weird.

Might just be a matter of engine condition & tuning then. Meaning that his engine is in better shape & is tuned better.

hmm naw its not that, i think that the people ** him had it bored and a new piston or something with redoing the engine. I dont really know, his isent running right now he messed with the carb one day and ever since hasent ran. It starts but doesent stay on seems like he isent getting gas to the cylinder.
