how come the YT makes so little power when its a 175 2 stroke????
125 2 stroke engines make way more power. can someone explain to me?

The new 125 2 strokes are a much more refined motor, liquidcool'd, powervalved, diffrent carbs reeds ect ect...basicly Compleate diffrent race ready motor out of the box the new 125's are....the 175 is just outdate like most old bikes...;)

you think it has much to do with the pipe? cause the YT175 pipe dosent have an expansion chamber.

My ytm 175 has good top end power but very little low end.

it has an exspansion chamber it just older and not has big as the newer ones plus that really isn't that sporty of a bike li9ke the z and 250r

yes my 175 is very fast if you spend enough money you can make it do anything you want.

its been ported and polished a few times i forget how much its boerd over but i no its been done a few times, new K&N Filter, wiseco piston thats the main things, nothin crazy, im getting it re-jetted right now. ill see how she runs and ill let you know when i take her out.

I have a 175 tri moto. I sent my cylinder and head to FTZ racing and had them port, polish and bore the cylinder. It now has a wiesco piston, boysen power reeds, Basani pipe, and a (green donky dick) foam air filter. it is a little doggy when you are putting around but when you hit half throtle and above it screams. It surprises people when they ride it. They cant belive it runs so hard. I have posted this picture before but figured you might enjoy seeing it again. Also my tri moto has the aftermarket pro tech suspension on it also. I love my tri-moto now that it has a suspension under it. Glenn
