View Full Version : has anyone rode an 06 crf450r??

i'm getting off of cruise here in a couple days and i'm more than likely gonna go pick up a new bike. just wondering if anybody has rode one yet or knows someone who bought one. i've been reading the magazines and they all pretty much say that it is one of the top bikes like it has been in the past years.

A buddy of mine was just telling me about the ride he took on one the other night. He said it was AWESOME. He owns a CR250 now with quite a few mods done to it and has been riding for years, so he's not a noob. He loved it, but doesnt have the cash for one right now or he said he'd get one. He's probably going to buy his buddy's 2000 YZ400WR that's been modded. I've ridden the YZ426F and they're very impressive. He said it's got a lot more grunt than the 426.

So, test ride it and see what you think. You may hate it or love it. You're the one dishing out the cash. Good luck and get pics if you do buy one. :w00t:

the crf450 is sick, and the new dual exaust on the 450s and 250s are awesome. get it you wont be dissapointed.

The duals are only on the CRF250R.

What do you mean my duals? Dual head pipes like a 350X or what?

How does that 06 Run? I don't know much about the 06 bike but they pretty much gave the quad a new engine, even takes different exhaust. Any big changes on the bike or is it a carry over from previous years? Either way those are great bikes. A buddy of mine has a 2003 with a pipe, filter and jet kit and it's insane.

Dual silencers on the 250R, the 450 doesnt have them, this year anyway. There are already aftermarket dual silencer systems for RMZ450's and KTM's, FMF has a titanium system for the 06' CRF250 already too.

i've just rode it around the yard and down the road. it's been raining so i haven't gotten to go to the track. i can't wait to take it out!!!!
