Have you called your nearest Yamaha dealer? I imagine that it would have the same mix ratio as the bigger tri-motos.

32:1 for the mix ratio, alot of guys run a little higher but thats with performance machienes and good oil. if you use regular cheap mix like i do, 32:1 is fine.
the year could be found out by serial number on the bike (i dont know them though, someone on here would). once you post pics someone on here will be able to tell the year from looking at it, usually.

All years YT60 TriZinger (not Trimoto) are the same other than color of plastic. Also the YFM60's (Quad-Zingers) are factory 4 wheel converted YT60's so they are the same except for the obvious.
The YT60 is oil injected and does not require premixing unless it has been disabled and plugged.
If the injector is not being used, gas/oil mixes depend on the oil, not the machine. There are a million threads on it, and almsot as many opinions. As a general guideline, 20-25:1 for general purpose 2 cycle oil like youd buy for a chain saw or rototiller. 32:1 if you are buying Factory oils like Yamalube or The honda stuff ( I think its HP4 or something) If you run high performance oils (which I highly recommend in any machine) such as BelRay H1r, MC1, Spectro, Klotz, Blue Marble, etc., they should be run at 50:1.

How old is your boy? My grandson is five and my granddaughter is seven. They want me to by them a four wheeler. I think I'll upset my wife and buy them a three wheeler instead.

got it runing, cleaned the carb and it started first pull, needs needle and seat, carb over flows after shuting off
needs gaskets, leaks oil from some place.
gets going prety good though
kid likes it!! really moves with him on it though....little scary need to get him in open space where he has more time to think before hitting something
i read that carb, reeds, and clutch out of a pw 50 will work on it anyone know fer sure?
love this site so many people to help :w00t:

Does it have a throttle lock or a way to keep him from going too fast? When I give my grandson rides on my 200x he tries to push my thumb down so he can go faster. I wonder if a person could rig up a remote kill switch on one.

Are you sure its the needle and seat and not just the float height?

There is a limiting screw in the thumb throttle that limits how far it can be pushed.
Also, on the rear of the Zinger near the grab bar is a tether kill switch. It was put there with the idea of using it as a "leash".

could be that too
but seems to be a bit better now after it has been run a couple times

If your using it in limited space- That leash thing can be any length of string you like . If it gets out of control,----snap ! it shuts right down. Also -if you know anyone invoved in RC cars- You can rig a servo to the tether switch and "Remote control shut-off" from 250 feet away!

I thought the same thing also on a DR100 I just redid for my daughter.Ended up being a pin hole in the float. When it is apart shake the float and make sure there is no fuel in it.

You can still get the rear fender from the dealer. Boysen makes reeds and you can get an exhaust from DG. The front fender and the handlebar cover are discontinued but you might be able to find on a dealer shelf. If you add the DG pipe and reeds, it will really move. The engines are pretty simple if you need to rebuild. You can get repop decals off ebay. These trikes can be alot of fun. Don't forget to set the limit screw or the trike can build up quite a bit of speed. The stock exhaust is the limiting factor on how the trike runs. Over time the stock exhaust will get plugged up and the trike will hardly move. Open the exhaust up and it is like the trike is freshly rebuilt. Also there are two exhaust gaskets, one is restricted and one isn't. All my neighbors and their kids love riding the lil 60. Have fun and be careful.

ive found airbox, correct rims for it
im going to mess with the carb a bit
I have to put a gasket in it to get rid of the oil leak
id like to find a exhaust for it, everywhere i check out the dg pipe it says discontinued. maybe ill see one on ebay or somewhere

All you have to do is a search for the DG website, and you can order it right from DG. That is what I did. Don't forget to get the new unrestricted exhaust gasket from the dealer, there isn't much to seal the exhaust to the head.

The servo idea is a good one !!... having a tether in the back would end up getting caught in the rear axle.. might be dangerous.

Servo Idea came about from my 8 yr old nephew, Who thoght he was just invincible. anything less than full throttle wheelies were no fun---( Can you blame him??) . The look of surprise when his trike stalled just as he was about to pull away was priceless.

Yes PW50 parts are interchangeable. I read somewhere that back in the day during sanctioned events , The "Judges " would check The casting marks on the cylinder and heads to make sure the 50cc class wasnt cheating by bolting on 60cc parts

The DG pipe has a built in silencer and it isn't restricted by a bunch of bends like the stocker. The DG pipe sticks out 4 or 5 inches past the rear fender. It is 2 pieces, but it looks pretty cool compared to the stocker and has a nice sound, not too loud but not restricted and dead stock quiet. You can get boysen reeds for it, they fit the pw50 also. I got a couple of pictures of it the other day, I'm just trying to figure out how to get them posted.

I just remembered something. Theres this arcade up in Lake George New york that has this little kid ride. You know one of those rides for little kids that you put in a quarter and it goes back and forth. Well, this is a brand new tri zinger. The thing is complete. It just has fake plastics. But the engine and everything else is completely brand new. This arcade is old too. I bet if you put the pull start back on and a real gas tank and plastics and all of the controls, this puppy would start right up. It looks to be brandnew still. So it would need to be broken in. I just wish I had the money to go there and ask whoever owns the arcade if I could buy it off of them. I remember riding that thing when I was a little kid. I didn't know anything about them. But I went there last year, and I realized it was REAL. Its incredible. Poor little machine.

There are actually a few more around the country like that. Apparently it was done by a coin-op Manufacturer -so look out for more . I read somewhere on the net , Some guy was setting up a coalition to free the oppressed little trikes.:w00t:
