When we raced our trikes on the flattrack last weekend we got to watch the local Ohio quad riders tear that track up. There were alot of super fast honda 4-strokes, I recall 2 400ex's that were as fast as anything out there. There was one guy from michigan on a black TRX 450-R that was blistering fast. There were only a few yamaha 450's out there, & they ran good also. But the hondas seemed to be hooked up. I raced my TRX, in a 25 years of age & up quad class & got beat real bad. I had knobby tires & everyone else had flattrack tires. I spun so bad trying to keep up with those guys, but that was not happening. These guys were fiying around that little track. If you havent been to sunset to watch the flattrack races you don't know what your missing. It was some real exciting fast racing. They call it a flattrack but there is quite a bit of banking in the turns. You Ohio guys are so lucky to live that close to such an awesome track. :w00t:

How many heats? how many laps? How long a drive is it from you? If its not that far I would go and race. What tires were they using?

Jason, bring that trx up to clarksville this sunday and race at bobs, its the last race before the endurance race. Your about an hour and a half away from me so its not that far of a drive. Theres some guys team from Jackson called psycho racing that comes up every weekend.
Your tires will work or you can use a set of mine if you come. One class, you race against anybody that shows up.

I can't make it this weekend, I have to much going on. But I sure would like to. Down in Ohio most of the guy's were running American Racer tire's. Some had hoosier's, but they all seemed to hook like mad. They let us practice, then we ran a 6-lap heat, then a 10 lap race. I think you get a certain amount of points for each position, in each race. From what Derrick Adams explained to me the second race is the one that gives the most point's. It's about a 3-hour ride from my house. It's well worth the trip. I had a blast, & can't wait to get down there again. What kind of track is there in clarksville? We will have to get together sometime & do some riding. The wife & kid's love to ride also. :Bounce

Hey Jason, I was most impressed by that Blaster (yes I said Blaster) nipping at your heels the entire race! People can talk smack about Blasters, but this one gave you a run for the money!

Yea Tim that blaster was fast, He could keep it on the bottom of the track. I would like to get some of the tire's they had. I think I could do a little better. It was fun no matter were we finished. I learned alot. Derrick, the wife got some good video of the guy riding the quad -Z. :w00t:
