nothin wrong with a KLT, depends on what you're doing with it. I have both they both work great, the KLT is better a cornering and has a huge range per tank of fuel (3.5 gal) its also quieter, a little more pulling power and a little faster;its only electric start if you kill it you have to jump or pull start (+lights are way better in the dark).
Yamaha's come with a rope as well as electric, parts are easier to come by for a Yamaha and is a semi auto great for kids to learn on and can be pull (rope)started in any gear
they all have + / - similar features.

Which Tri Moto? There are a lot to chose from (ex; 225DX, 225DR, 200ERN, 200E, 200).

I would say the KLT the parts on the are way over engineered so nothing breaks. 50 MPH crash its trees in the KLT and NOTHING was broken. it laid upside down for 5 minits and fired straight up. But as said before the Yamahas have better parts avalability.

Thanks for all the replies, ill have to wait to see if they stay in my budget for spending. I think i might be leaning twoards the yamaha, being it would be easier for people to use around the farm.
the yamaha says 1984 yamaha tri moto 200 its on ebay.
