View Full Version : Honda ATC/XR parts interchangability help

Don't worry, I have searched for these answers already. I was wondering if anyone knows if the following parts will interchange:

85-86 ATC250R and 84-01 XR200R rubber headlight straps

83-85 ATC200X and 84-01 XR200R stator and sprocket covers

All of the parts listed naturally have different part numbers, but I know that some stuff swaps over. The only exceptions I can find are for the 89 and 92 XR200Rs. I can't find any schematics for them, but judging by the other parts, I would assume they were unchanged, if the were even made at all. I know that the stator and sprocket covers are shaped differently between the ATC and XR, but can the XR parts be used on the ATC?

OK, since you haven't gotten any responce yet I will chime in with what I think[/*]. BUT I have not had any first hand experience with the XR parts yet. Maybe you should pm Jenndnn3, she has done a lot of X-XR parts swaping.

From what I have heard the stator cover for the XR will work on the X, the difference is that the X has the extra coil in it for the lighting so you would have to use the X coils if you want lights. The sprocket covers are not the same. I am not sure if the XR will fit the X or not but they aren't the same.

The 4stroke parts will be different, but should interchange.

Every XR I've ever seen has lights on it.

I think the original XR200 didn't have lights but the XR200R does.

Gday 69HemiGTX I know that the stator covers are different .But not to sure on the other parts....

I just went and checked on the sprocket cover. I'm confident that ther XR sprocket cover will fit. However it does leave quite a gap between the cover and the frame.
