An '85 230 atleast. We had which might be my first quadsport over to my place rebuilding the top end and I had the carb off comparing it to my 250 SX carb. The quadsport carb is pitiful next to the SX carb and I thought what the hell lets try it. At first it didnt work because there is a 3" reducer I guess you call it on the plastic that goes from the air box to carb.I took that off and the SX carb slid in, then I put the carb in the intake boot for the engine and it slid in. So when we get this rebuild done I think I'll run the 27mm instead of the 24mm or whatever that thing is due to a dg pipe, K&N filter, and high comp piston.

You'll have less bottom end, but more top end thanks to the larger bore of the carb... hmm... an SX carb, eh? Now I can ask my local scrap yard if they have one of those, because they didn't have any Quadsport carbs...

Not in his case, those motors are so choked back an SX carb should be an advantage all around.

well I finally have the quadsport in my possesion and it turns out the plastic tube (from the air box to carb) is about 1/16 of an inch away from sliding on the carb. Im gonna redrill holes in the air box and remount it. Wanted to let you guys know.

I bet. The SX is only 27mm but you can feel the improvment.
