I am having one hell of a time selling my 1993 Bronco, not sure if it's the gas prices or what. I live next to a busy highway so I've had it for sale out there. I even put it on ebay and the buyer backed out. I still have license and insurance on it and I put about 350 miles on it 2 Thursdays ago. I personally think it's worth about $2000, I have about $4000 in it. I put a motor and transmission in it. But I'm tired of looking at it so tomorrow I'm taking it to the junk yard. I hope this isn't considered a classified but I'm just amazed at this, what is going on.

I actually just sold my truck 2 weeks ago, had it advertised on a friday, guy came and bought it on tuesday. It had a 318 in it and got 18 mpg. Maybe I just got lucky.
I'm sure the gas prices are affecting these big trucks being sold.

Anyone ever donated a vehicle to charity? How does that work out? How much do I get back for it on my taxes?

I sold my Ranger a few weeks ago. I would agree that the market for the older trucks is not that good right now. I had mine for sale for about a month and a half. I also have a friend (slow200s on here) who has had his bronco up for sale too and has not had much action on it.

I think you can deduct 100% of the retail value from your taxes. But I think you have to itemize to get the deduction. Also, I am pretty sure it don't apply to the amount of taxes, it helps lower your taxable income.
Before giving to the junk yard put a lower price on it out to the road. Junk Yard = $50-$200 Lower Price = $1000-$1500 ;)

Hell no! Dont trash it! I'll take it off your hands if that's what you were honestly going to do (junk it).
Have you ever thought of parting it out? Its the same idea as parting out a quad/trike...you get more money in the long run. You might spend more time taking the truck apart and listing it on ebay (or classifides ad), but the benefits are worth it.
