jp swinger (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4581946350&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT)
here's the link

I've bid on it.

The guy said it is 25 inches long but he did not say from where to where he measured either? (Like the adjustment bolts)

Says it is steel?
HOw heavy?
What lengths were available? +2 +3 +4
Is it worth it?

they are chromoly. these are gonna be more rare than a calfab. I think that is a +3 unit. Jp stuff is really about the best you can get. Calfabs bring 2-500 depending on condition and ampount of bidders. I think that this should go in the 350 range imho

I measured my swingarm bolt and rotated and pasted a few of them to guess at its size and it seemed more than two inches but not four over stock so...

Would it not be cheaper just to have one made of chromoly from a fabricator?

Would one Constructed of 11.Ga.1" X 2" tubing & laser cut 1/4" steel plate hold up? Like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-4-6-Yamaha-Warrior-350-Raptor-Extended-Swingarm_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43981QQitemZ45 82639694

This yamaha fabricator is in michigan but he hasn't answered my first email. I'll try again.
Maybe some other people could try too.

Unlike some I am not concerned about the form of my machine just its mechanical function. I am dreaming of a KX500 drag/sand project which might warrant a bigger swingarm anyway. But for now the stock motor is fresh and the electrical is newer but man it has a lot of issues that $200-$500 could take care of.

That swingarm was part of an earlier auction that was ended early. It was the frame, swingarm, shock, and forks. Went for a few days with no bidders at $5.00 opening bid, no reserve. I had my eye on it because of that aftermarket swingarm. I thought it was a WestCoast though, guess I was wrong. Anyway, I figured the guy had no idea about the swingarm in part because he stated the grey color he painted it all was close to the factory frame color. Might have been just the pics but it looked no where near the factory color. And It was pick up only and I had made arrangements with some great fellows here (you know who you are! :beer ) for some help on picking it up, breaking it down and shipping it to me. Even though all I wanted was the rear end. So I went to check on the last day and the auction was ended early due to error in the listing. Anyway I figured someone tipped the guy off that the swingarm was an aftermarket. Sure enough that was so. Lucky for him. If I would have bid early on the original auction, It may have still gone high but I guess he couldn't have ended it early.

Great snags on ebay are few and far between now-a-days. I miss 5 or 6 years ago when you could snag stuff! :(

An ebay auction can be ended early even though you bid. I had it happen to me on a $50 NOS 86 RM250 cylinder I was goin to put on my LT250R.
