If there are no tires on the rims it's not hard. I use the metal valve stems.
If the tires are on let a tire place fight with it.

dads are you serious?... he's talking aout engine valves. Why do you want to put new valves?..
your going to need a valve spring compressor at the least.
LMAO Oh well missed that one. LOL
And you would need new spings too. cost of $60.00 for spings and valves.
I would just reseat them with valve grinding compound.

Measure length of the springs with calipers, if they are the same, dont replace them. Better yet, if you can find the original spring length and compare them to that.
Look at the valves with a magnifying glass for cracks or burns on the tulip and seat areas. With them installed, pour gasoline in the head and see if any leaks through the valve seat. If they arent burned too badly, they can be lapped.
Dont need a compressor for those little springs, I use a long wrench to push the spring seats down and remove the keepers.
Get a valve grinding cup tool and lapping compound to lap the valves, the tool is a wooden handle with suction cups on each end for spinning the valves.
DONT mix up valve parts, put the same valve etc. back in the location it came from.

So how do you re-assemble them without the compresson?
