when your posting a message, down towards the bottom of the page, theres a button that says "add an attachment". click it. scroll down to the bottom of the page again, and theres a button that says "browse". click it. a window should pop up. then you must find the picture you want to post(thats another chapter). went you find the picture you want to post, click it once, then click the button that says "open". the window should close. finally, click "add attachment". now your picture will be posted in you message.

i've kinda been wondering about that myself. how can i make the file smaller? The only thing i can think of is this; there is a setting on my digital camera that adjust the quality of the picture, right now i have it on "fine". maybe if i went to "standard", i could have some luck. if not, i don't know what else it could be.
that's my 2 cents
