depending on what you are wanting to do for the rest of the engine, look for a 26mm carb off of a 86 and later xr200r dirt bike. you can use a different carb of the same size off of something else but more than likely it will not be a bolt on swap. 16210-446-000 is the intake used on the xr and it will bolt up to the 200X head with no problems, you can still get a new carb from honda for this swap as used ones are really hard to come by as the old xr's run forever.

if it is an aftermarket upgrade for the 86 and later XR200R it will work on the 83-85 200X. the only difference between the X engine and the XR engine is the cases. the XR kicks backward cuz its a dirtbike and the X kicks forward cuz the fenders in the way and the X has a five speed and the XR has a six speed. beyond that the top ends are completely the same. so any carb upgrade for the XR will work for the X.

one more thing, the 83-85 200X has a 24MM carb form the factory and the 86 and later XR200R has a 26MM carb.

to know what size you measure the inside of the exit side of the carb.

O really?.. Somebody else said to meausre the inlet side .. I dunno lol..
But with the in side of the carb being bigger and the slide being bigger wouldn't there be some kind of positive increase?

the inlet side of the carb is usually bigger than the exit side to increase air velocity as the air/fuel mixture passes through. when you measure a carb to know what size it is, you always measure the exit side as it is usually smaller than the intake side. some 4 stroke carbs are the same size all the way through but it is still advized to measure the exit side of the carb.
