say you had access to a vtwin, 600cc or so, and a good fabricator. could a moderate vtwin go into a 200x? has anyone tried it?

Well....we've put 4-bangers in a trike before...so it wont be so bad to fit a twin. Just line up the sprockets and weld in new motor mounts. But depending on the motor, you might have to lengthen the frame or make the frame taller.

i think it would just have to go taller. i might have to do something with the bottom of the tank though. do 4cyl go in pretty good?

Hey
Not to be off topic, but what kind of work do you do with the C-5's and other lifters? The C-5 always impressed me for its size and payload capacity. I love airplanes almost as much as I love trikes:TrikesOwn

Also just wanted to say hi to everybody, great web site. I have a few trikes I hope to put pics of on here soon and I look forward to meeting all of you:w00t:

not to mess up any of your ideas, but a motor of that size would probably overpower the frame. what about putting it in a 350x frame, or a 250r frame? if you only have acess to the 200x then go for it, if you feel that way.

i would try to put that in a 200x frame, a 350x frame isnt a whole lot more heavy duty than a x frame is it? like a year ago my friend stuffed a four banger in his 86 200x frame, that thing just screamed down the road

I say run with the idea, but keep in mind, your handeling won't be very good, and forget off roading it. That thing would be very very heavy! You may wantto beef up your suspension too!

hey, took the monster to glamis last year, handled better in the sand. extra weight of the engine is like riding two people. the extra hp is great!
