There is a lt250r 1986 forsale in the wantad. Its apart, engine runs strong, FmF pipe, expansion, racing plastic, newly painted frame and he's asking $500. Is it worth it? Sounds decent, like hes in the middle of a restoration but gave up. I know the '86's didnt have powervalves and such, but I dont really care. I think I have the skills to put it back together. $500 seems like an awfully good price. I don't think its too far from me either. Should I give him a call? Decisions decisions...

Edit: I would probably only get it if it was all there.. Im kinda low on cash. But chains and sprockets arent a big deal.

its probably already gone. almost any quad under $800 is gone the first day its in the want ad. i think its worth it, because if you didn't want it after you got it you could just part it out on ebay and make your money back plus more.

Look at what the lt's go for, around here you can pick up a nice running one for 1200-2000 all day long. There value is about the same as a 350x, except there JUNK.

For that price I would buy it, finish the resto then sell it . Take it from the former owner of an '85 LTR - not the greatest. Very fragile. The '87 - '92 though - loved 'em.
