Well I stumbled across this kit:w00t: ....I was quite impressed with the fact that it had the mount for the speedo included. I thought I was just getting the cable and drive. I'm assuming these are pretty rare???? Now have to find the speedo.....Oh man and a 350x

That's the beast! The only NOS speedo set I've ever had that came in a box!!! The mounting bracket is trike specific so it comes with the speedo setup kit. Hmmmm....that'd be great on my NOS 350X project! :naughty:
OR.....maybe I should punt on my NOS 350X project and put it up on ebay! It'd be probably the only NOS/Clean 350X anyone can afford now! hahhaaa
Maybe I ought to give you my list of Hondaline parts.... as you know, I collect the paper work for them too. Think you could find me another tach???? :wondering

That's the first time I've seen one in a box before...I have seen a kit with everthing but the speedo head and it was in a big Hondaline plastic bag. Was that an ebay score or what?

The high bidder is formerly hammysammy1, didn't someone say that is onestop? There was a used but still nice one that closed yesterday for $110ish that a member won, lol and I wouldn't even pay more then the $40 the gearbox went to for my 200E, if only I had the time to get a job:lol: .

Don't pay too much for a "ATV" speedo head, Hondaline still has them available brand new for $47.00.

\My NOS 350X speedo setup came in a box just like it..... and Swinehart.... you KNOW I still have it! hahahaha
Yes, you can buy new speedo's (unless onestop bought them all out) but they are chrome lipped and have a red markingon the face... not like the old ATC ones.

That's the same guy I got one of my ATC speedo's from. Also, the same guy I traded that NOS HA2 250R speedo kit (in a plastic bag btw) to straight up for a set of NOS 350X forks w/boots and NOS axle and spacers all in the original box! Good guy! :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

Really? Chrome lipped? Mine are on the way so I'll report back after I get a look at them...
Anyone know if a 250es and a 200es speedo mount/gear/cable kit are interchangeable? 08175- H A 000 part # was attached to my 200es kit but it comes up as a 250es kit. wtf?

Not much off a 200es kit will work on a 250es... maybe the cable, but that's it.

I currently have the end piece that mounts on the hub on my 350-I was curious as to what it was for, I dont have anything else for that kit, if any of your guys need it for a spare, contact me, I dont need it.The piece attaches to the hub and the axle bolt slids through it-act as like a spacer of sorts-

Maybe you should e-mail the guy on eBay who paid $227 for the one in the link above and tell him that. I'm guessing he'd feel a bit ill. haha.

Nah, you don't need to email me. "I SEE ALL !!!!"  Actually I got it today and it looks a lot nicer than I expected. I am pretty happy with it. More than I wanted to pay of course, but sometimes you gotta do whatcha gotta do. I got the one with 12 miles on it, and lost out on the one with zero miles, it went for $264.90  At least I got one though !

Turn the cable backwards and it'll take the mileage off.... at least what I've been told.....

It does work but it will take a while. I hooked up a part of an old cable to my drill press and let it spin the odometer I was going to put on my motorcycle because I wanted the original mileage to show up not the 12k more the parts bike had. I gave up after a few minutes and only about a mile.

Any Honda part numbers available on the speedo cable or the mounting bracket?
I am putting some parts together on my 85 Honda ATC250SX and need some help. I have the drive to go on the front wheel and a odometer for it but need the speedometer cable and the bracket that mounts the odometer (right side installation). I think a right sided mounting bracket for a speedometer would work too for other ATC's. Let me know if anyone has them available or where to look or Honda part numbers for these items. I am trying to get it back to original condition. Thanks for all your help in advance. jimshary@yahoo.com
PS I would also like to hear from any other users of speedos and odometers on Hondas and how they may be able to help.
