I'm in the market for some snow tires from my honda 110, I've got knobbies on it now that do well, but what would you guys reccommend as the best snow tire? I'd like to keep as close to the 22x11x8 size as possible.

The best one traction wise I have used would probably be Super Swampers. My brother had a pair on one of his 225dx's and they worked great. I don't know if I would use them on a 110 though, they are very hard so you wouldn't get any sort of cushioning from them. On the plus side, they can be studded:naughty: !

I'd just run 2 psi in the knobbies and call it good. It should float on top of the snow. I ran 2 psi on my Wolverine with holeshots and made it pretty much anywhere I wanted to go.

I also had super swampers on a 84 200x, worked really good in the snow and mud. Fairly light also for a big lug tire.

Is that mountain active? As in volcanic?.... My buddy had a pair of carisles on this blaster. I don't know the exact name but he got them at Wal-Mart. Those tires were awesome in the snow. The blaster went through 10+ inches of snow pretty darn good.

Yep she's an active mountain, Mt. St. Helens is only 45 miles away.

Most likly you are talking about the Carisle trail pro's, a very common tire. I have found that they a fairly hard, take forever to wear out. They are good in most conditions and light fluffy snow but once you get into some thicker wet snow they clog up easy.

I wanna go to oregon. Man those pics are sweet.
I'd say get the maxxis 4-snows. they seem to be popular and have alot of flex.

Wooly Boogers work good in the snow. I got 13"wide ones on my Big Red and it goes like a tank.

I second the mud-lites. They work really well in snow as well as mud. I had a pair on my 350X last winter and it was amazing the places it went in deep (12") snow.

Wooley boggers or the chin shin rip off are awesome in mud and snow. Suprisingly my Nankang knobbies did awesome in snow too. Did real well till about 23" drifts

realtors on my blaster kick a#s
Id go with 2 psi in them knobbies, thats gona be almost the best for a 110 in snow, whooly boogers are too hevy for a 110 to spin and they get cloged up easy, id look at maxxis 4 snow's for it, theere a light ballone tire made for snow!

I have a set of Bandits on my 200X. Hooks up nice. Wide lug patterns keeps the snow flying off the tires.

i ran 1- 22 11x8 carlisle knobbie on one side and 1- 22 11x8 cheng shin knobbie on the other side (bought it that way)on the 250sx last year with no probs. and they were wore down a good bit. so i just put a new set of carlisle knobbies on the rear this year. bought them at walmart for 30 bucks a peice.
btw my buddy has a set of carlisle strykers on the rear of his 200s and they sucked bad he was always geting stuck. they are some hard tires. with 1 psi in them they were still very hard.

There are lots of great snow tires out there, but on a 110, youre going to find your best results are with the stock style knobbies at 2 or 3 psi. Cheng Shin knobbies work great, and are a very soft tire, and are inexpensive. Im not a fan of Carlisle tries, and find even their balloon type knobbies are rock hard compared to other brands and would personally not consider them for his purpose.
