I pulled my carb on my '84 200es to clean it. Now I can't get the needle jet back in. It looks like the orfice that the needle jet goes into has a lip around it so that when the jet holder is screwed in, the needle jet seats tight. The problem is that I can't seem to get the needle jet to seat properly so that I can insert the jet holder and tighten it down. Since the end of the needle jet isn't seated inside the throttle housing, when I put the jet holder in the orfice, it won't go in far enough to let me start the threads. I used a wooden dowel like the book said to tap the jet out when I removed it. Any ideas?
