Well.. had been promissed a trike a while back. and every time i see buddy i keep askin..

Tonight i got my wish. Delivered to my door for 100 $ canadian .

it's an 83 125 M.

I just put the heat on in the garage and am going out for some snap shots. ( it's frickin -10c out tonight !!! )

So far the problems are the following:

1- Won't shift, lever goes up and down. does not seem to slip on the splines, but no clicky-shifty..

2- Throttle cable seized up.. small problem..

3- Needs rear-axle bearings, but it rolls.

4- Needs brake cables, and i hope the drums are ok.

5- Seat cover all busted up.

on the good side.. :

The plastics are in goos shape, minor cracks but nothing missing.
New tires all around
Gas tank is not too rusty, minor inside surface rust.
Axle straight
Motor turns over.
HAS ELECTRIC START !!!! ( Not currently working. but i'm gonna look at it.)

Too exited to type more.. heading out there.. be back with pictures soon.

It's one cool little trike !! :w00t:

Nice score. I'm looking for another trike, too. I want a junky beater (preferably a 200X) that I can get for cheap and have fun on and leave the SX indoors so she don't get beat up!

If you need some parts for you motor, i have a good bottom end that shifts well, i mean when you get to it and all. I trying to clean my garage before I start another project, I know I got a box of 125m stuff and a bottom end.

I know.. so was I !!

She's in good shape really, barely any rust on and looks like low mileage.

here are a few more.

oh.. and it's an 84 actually.. made on 08 / 83

The underside of the motor is all full of oil.. i don't like that..

I checked the oil and it's just barely showing on the dip stick.. and one bolt is missing on the footpeg mounts...

Horrible desing by honda to mount the pegs to the tranny..

Shift problem- the little arm that go's on the end of the shiftshaft under the clutch cover, it could have rattled or broken lose, or the shfift return spring, both very easy fix's all ya gota do is pop the clutch cover to see....She looks good tho!! wish i could get another lil trike around here ha!

Once you see how well those trail pros slide you may put them on the SX :naughty:

Nice looking trike if you ask me. Most of the ones here in Arky that old look they were drug behind a truck.
