Just got my 225 dx out for the first time in snow and was wondering if anyone could tell me what a good pressure was for my tires. I am running about 10 lbs in my rears which I know to be maximum. Would like to know what you all like to run in the wet snow. I just have stock wheels and basic knobbed tires on my trike. This is the first trike I have owned and I think it is a blast but need to get the traction question figured out.

Lower pressure = more traction in sand/mud/snow.

Most of the time I run 2-3 psi depending on how streched out they are.

Depends greatly on the tire, but I can think of no ATV tire that recommends 10 psi for any type riding. Typically your harder flat profile track tires run at about 5-7 psi. Harder tires sometimes come off the bead at low psi with much less trauma. Your softer tires perform best in snow, and run at 2-3 psi. Mud tires vary, and some are somewhat soft and stay on the bead well, while others may be rock hard. Whatever you run, minimum pressure for that tire is best for snow.
For knobbies' 2-3 psi will get ya the best traction, 10 psi Is WAAAAY to much even for dry summer riding i only run 3-4...
Try some Mudlites at say 5 psi in the rear,10 psi in the front.
