about to start my first top end rebuild on a 86 yamaha tri zinger 60 are there any special tools i need to get before i start on it

a service manual will be your best tool

I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but make sure you have metric tools. I find that too many people get into this and realize they don't have the proper tools. Then they try to use standard tools to get the bolts out. Also a torque wrench would be a good idea as well.

I dont need no darn 15mm---use the 9/16 and hammer it on---:lol: :lol:

All jokes aside ---take it to heart-- 10, 12,14,17,19---Not sure about the hub nuts --but those 5 will take care of everything else. Grab an Impact driver for any tuff phillips screws--and a special puller for the flywheel--if you plan on going down that far.

Don't for get the 8mm. But of couse you can use a 5/16 standard with NO problems. hehe

truckingnutt, take ANI-Quads advice. Your most usefull tool is a good manual. It will save you a lot of time and headaches. ;)
