Well I have put a 83 BigRed motor into my 82 200 frame..Now for this I had to remove the electric start..So we made up a plate to cover on the hole,as my mate went to insert the bolt to tighen it up,a washer fell in the hole...Is there any advice on how to get this out..Or is it fine in there??
Cheers.
1 pull the motor back out and tip it upside down and shack that *******.. worked for me.
2 get a snake magnet and fish it out
good luck bud

If it was ok in there then honda would have dumped them in there by the truck load!!!! I always try to put extra washers inside my motors to float around whenever possible too!!!
Kind of a smart attitude, try helping. Yea use a magnet. You can get the ones that look like pens, and the magnet telescopes out the top, at Auto-Zone for like a dollar.

parts left off a bike cost less and cause fewer service problems!!! If it doesn't need it they won't put it on the bike. Smart but answer? Yes, but when was the last time you put washers inside your gear box and thought it would be ok to leave them there?

I thought the electric start was a seperate compartment from the gearbox??Anyway...I WILL be getting this out before I ride the bike again..
