well i am dialing in my 300r and i have a very stiff thumb throttle. should i take apart the throttle and see what's up? what am i looking for? do you think i should unscrew the cable from the top of my carb and make sure it's not twisted? it just doesn't return to idle well. i may put on the twist throttle i have but i think that would mean a new throttle cable?

I would unscrew your cap and look in, might be some sorta debris slowing your slide down. And check the cable too, lube all points(thumb throttle). Clean your slide too. Hope this helps!

Also, make sure your cable is routed correctly and isn't in a pinch anywhere.

I actaully have the same problem with my throttle. Lemme know if you alleviate it and how you did it. My cable is routed fine and the carb slide is fine too. I can only assume the throttle needs disasembled and lubed but i'm just too freaky lazy to do it. Anyone else have this problem? Is there an actual rebuild kit availible?

I just replaced the throttle cable on my friends 250r. The thottle was sticking on for a few seconds after you let go, it already had made 1 person crash and scrape his back up.
I first tried lubing everything, it helped but it was still sticky. I took the throttle cable off and pulled the cable back and forth, there was a lot of resistance, so I just replaced it and now it works like new.
