225 dx refill forks

is there a way to drain and refill the fork fluid in my 1985 yami 225dx instead of taking them apart and having to mess with seals and springs?, where do you fill them at, is it the plug at the top.? i know you drain then on the bottom. cant i just pull the bolt on the bottom drain them put the bolt back in, take the plug off the top and refill? or so i gatta refill them from the bottom??
