Need some info on the oil filter Is the oil filter from a xr200r the same??? What other engines have the same oil filter?? Any help would be great.... Thanks, Vern

yes there is a oil filter inside the motor that is suposed to be cleaned, on the 83-85 not sure on later ones

what year 200x ?
id think the screen at the oil drain is the same and so is the oil filter inside
you could look on service honda site and see if there are the same part numbers
hell i did it fer ya and yes they are the same for 83-85 200x and a xr200

WHAT? I have opened up everything in my 1985 200x...NO OIL FILTER. Only some screen with holes in it. Where in the 1985 200x is there an oil filter? I have never seen any replacement parts for these either.

it's in with clutch, and it's more of a spinning rotor than a filter.. But, the book calls it a filter....

yep
it spins the oil and the stuff a normal filter would trap is flung to the outside kinda like the spin cycle on a washing machine

after a while it gets full enough that it does nothing much at all

its the parts on the right
