Where can I find a good website(s) that sells tires and other trike accessories? Is there a site that gives like a blue book value for three wheelers? I just bought a 1983 Big Red Atc 200 for $200 and it was in mint shape just needed a new tire...what do 1983 big reds sell for now adays??? I figured i was stealing it off the guy for $200 cause it ran good and the body work was in good shape with all original decals. One more question...I have ridden dirtbikes all my life and am not very knowledgeable of three wheelers...on my Big Red there is a box near the pull starter that indicates the trike has a high and low range but there is no lever or switch to move to engage either range, is the H and L on the box for the shifting gears or is there an actual high and low range on the trike? and if there is a high and low range how do i change the range it is in??

Any help is much appreciated!

Denniskirk.com rockymountainatv.com and bikebandit.com are all good places for parts.

As for value post a pic and we will tell you. Most of the blue book type deals arent very accurate.

As for the H and L. look closely because thats how you change the high and low range. If there isnt a lever there it got snapped off most likely. Post a pic and we could tell you for sure.

Your shifter is just like your dirtbike in location but all the gears are down.

Hope This helps.

I do not know how to shrink the pics to under 250 kb to fit in here... this is the best i could do with the H and L on the case next to the starter... how do i switch it from high gear to low gear? there is no lever, it appears as if something has broken off... if someone has the same model or close to same can you post a pic of what it should look like?

how do i switch it from high gear to low gear?

Not sure if you know this, but it's not actually switching gears, but rather "Ranges". If you are familiar with 4X4 trucks, it's like hi and lo range. Your trike actually has 10 forward gears (5 in hi range and 5 in lo range). the reason for this is the various applications of the Big Red. For trail riding, or just messing around, use hi range. For any work - ie: pulling a hay wagon, spraying a field, pulling a lawn roller, use lo range. Hope that helped, but you may already know that. (PS - it does appear that the hi / lo range select lever is broken off, or just not there.)

Man dude, you got ripped off by paying $200 bucks for that, I feel really bad but where it is your first time and got rooked, I'll give you $200 bucks for it, DOH. That is a really good deal if it is in that good condition. Do you have the racks on it too? The high low range can come in handy around the yard.

right click on your pic and click edit. Then when paint loads up press ctrl+w. this bring up the resizer. in both spaces put in 80. click done or ok and then save the file.

Now open up the folder you have the pics saved to and hold your mouse over the file It should now say how big it is in KB. if it is250kb or below you are good to go. If not repete the first paragraph

I think he is just kidding around b/c he says Ill give you $200 bucks for it,Doh. THAT IS A REALLY GOOD DEAL IF IT IS IN THAT GOOD CONDITION. and atc tim, wouldnt you use low for pulling stuff because LO has more torque and high has more horsepower for going faster.

Sweet!! I just figured out how to crop the pictures...SO here it is, how much is this 83 Honda ATC 200 worth? I paid $200 and all it needed was a front tire! Good deal or not? This is the first three wheeler i have ever bought/riden aside from a Yamaha Trizinger 60cc trike i had when i was a kid ( and still do have but has a bent axel and i havent ridden it in years)

Hehe, I was kjdding around, that was a great deal for $200. Those are the best wheelers, you don't mind putting a few $$ into it because you're not already into it for too much money. Make sure you send us some pics after you get it fixed up.

Howdy neighbor, well sort of, your 150 miles west of me.

If that 200 is in fine shape like you say, it is worth at least 750-1000 bucks I'd say. You definitly did steal :naughty: it though!

Impossible to tell for sure because your pictures to be honest are crappy. We need them zoomed in more if you want a more accurate price appraisle.

I have a 83 or 2 for parts only but my lever is broke too. Still there but the tip is broke off.

Where are you going to ride it?

Dirt bikes are up my alley too, I have a CRf 450.

What do you have, where do you ride them?
