anyone every use electrolysis to remove rust from your rusted parts/tools? i found a page on how to use this and its working great for my sled exhaust pipe..

Did this really work? What did you guys use for electrolyte, Arm n' Hammer wash detergent? Just don't see it working but I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer either, wheres my crayons. LOL

yeah thats what i used, works great, just hook up a large piece of stainless to the positive connection throw it in and hook up the part *Edited**Edited* cleanin to neg and throw it in

Yeah, don't use stainless. It will produce a hazardous compound. See the note in the link that I have posted above. And make sure that you use washing soda. Not detergent or baking soda. The others may produce some results, but the best is washing soda.

Yes this works well. Just let the parts cook for a day or so to get them really clean.

What is washing soda? Can you find it with laundry soad?
