Found this while visiting my inlaws in PA this weekend. It was in the classifieds of the local paper. Guy I bought it fronm is the 2nd owner and only had it for about a month. Everything works and the only problem is the float is a little sticky. The plastics were spray bombed with flat black but it looks like it will come off real easy. Runs and rides great. Picked it up for $600:w00t:

2 stroke, 250cc, oil injected with an auto transmission. They used a Yamaha front end also.

The whole front end is Yamaha also. Forks, hub, rim, controls, even the key switch. My key has a rubber cover that says Polaris but the key itself says Yamaha.

I was lookin at that trike and I was wondering are some of the parts on that thing changeable with the polaris cyclone? They look pretty close in the clutch cover and foot rests.

its a DX front end right?
And most of the parts should interchange with the 4 wheeled R/es right?

I believe so. The best part is it goes as fast in reverse as it does in forward.

Great score Todd!! Looks better than mine. errr lol But I still have the 1 and only Custom German made Triple Tree. I also have another accessory that I am planning on testing and installing before TF ). Your going to love this accessory. ;) lol
You know you HAVE to bring it to TF! We gotta get all the P3's in a group picture. By my count we have at least 8 of them now on the forums, and possibly 5-7 of those will be at TF06. WOW!!!
I believe so. The best part is it goes as fast in reverse as it does in forward.
The actual drive ratio's are:
Forward Ratio 2.88 : 1
Rear Ratio 2.5 : 1
So is goes almost as fast in reverse. lol Yea, I have all the manuals for the P3's. Shop manual, Parts Manuals ( 1985 & 1986 ), Owners Manual, Dealers Sales Video, Dirtwheels Article, and other goodies. Nope, I don't like the P3's at all. lol

If we keep this up the P3 might outnumber the 350X LOL. I can't beleive all these P3s have found their way into good homes!!!! Its going to be an awsome P3 group ride. Yours is nicer than mine thats for sure, I have been thru most of mine let me know if you have any questions. Sam (sparrow) has his about ready to start to go back together, he is doing a frame off rebuild on his. He says it will be ready for TF06.
Congrats on the find, Hope you love it.
GOOD LUCK W/ IT

I may be purchasing one of these beauties in a few weeks. It just needs a choke cable from what I was told.
