Do you just simply shove it in, with it resting on the internal airfilter supports and it relies on the rear plastic plate when you screw it in to put the correct pressure on it where it mates to the air box up front?

Weird set up!

I have #6 & 7 but need the filter itself. Going to get stock I guess although I see some after market in ebay.

Any other suggestions?

lol, just use some foam, or get a uni filter and slide it over. well the 225 filter is pretty unstable, on number 6 at the end there is a saller cirlce with a lip , that part slides in the air box hole in the back, just turn it around till you fill it go in a lil, then where it says upper o the filter put that upright, then on the lid put that up right, and slap it on. what im ganna do is take the whole box off, and buy a clamp on filter!!!
