Well, Its been a few months since i touched my bike and man im kicking myself in the butt now..It's been so cold and rainy here in oregon i haven't been up to work or clean my trike. So when i turned on the light i was shocked! My pipe was covered in rust..Needless to say, I scrubbed on it for about an hour and when i was finished i noticed i had what appeared to be oil or gas stains all over it..I worked on it for about aother 30 minutes or so and the marks still look the same..Maybe its from the rust?..Is there anything i can do? Something out there i can use to get rid of this crap? What do i do???? THANKS :)

I'd get it cerami-coated.

I used the cermi-coat on mine. I did it myself with my el-cheapo powder coating unit I got from Harbor Freight. The powder I got from a place in Indiana called Pendry Powder coatings. It was pretty expensive. The powder was about $27 a pound. But definely worth it, I was so tired of wire brushing, painting with high temp paint only to have to do it again in a year or so. I also read that the cermi-coat or powder coating acts as an insulator and for some technical reason helps the expansion chamber retain heat. I am by no means an expert, but I read that that was a good thing although I cannot remember why.
