I came across that site the other day. I was wondering why so many people where into the 70s for the dunes. Is it cause they are light or what? Don't get me wrong I like them too. I was thinking about fixing one of mine up for the nieces & nephews to ride.

Its done just for fun . Stock, with a 200 pound + "adult" rider they are hopelessly under powered in the dunes (even on flat ground) But thats the point, its all about having a few laughs

That green 70 is an Accesories Plus suspension frame, Dr ATV 110 stroker kit, and the exhaust is a Two Brothers Racing XR50. It will fit on a stock framed 70. You might have to modify the mounting tab.

Crnacnac, This would be my dream vacation. How hard is it for out of state people to get green stickers so you could ride at glamis? Have you all made a video or dvd, if not please do. Have a heart for us poor east coasters who have never seen miles of beautiful sand dunes. I can only run my suspenion 70 through the neighbor kids sand box.
What is the rim size & tire size & make on the front of that 70? The one in the pic in TrikeKid's post above.
Thanks!

We use the 70's for pit bikes to ride from camp to camp. Mostly we ride them at night. We do have buggies, quads and two wheelers. Sometimes we have more fun on our 70's than we do on our big bikes. We have taken them through the dunes with a chase truck to see if we could do it. We did. It wasn't a fast ride but it was fun.

Hey Kasey, got any updates on yours? Haven't been over at .org looking round much lately. I just put a running Z50 engine into my ATC70 for giggles. Talk about LACK OF POWER!!! At least the engine is easy enough to start with a hand on the kicker. Heck, no room to put a foot anyway!

Yes. This thing is bad ass!!! Did you make your triple clamps? Did you make the whole frame or did you start with a headset/backbone from another frame? You have to bring this to the 70's Regatta finished or not. If you have time, post your progress on our Glamis Dunes 70 board.

From what I know is there were two different manufactures, PK Racing and Accesories Plus or A+. Both located in California. They made these in the mid to late 80's. I bought my PK Racing framed 70 from my boss about 6 years ago for $400.00. Five other friends were lucky enough to find A+ frames. PK used XR80 front forks.
If you ever find one buy it, if you don't I will
