Alright, so last weekend I pulled the Tri-Zinger out for the first time since around May '05. It wouldn't hold idle, so I pulled the carb off and cleaned it, then put it back on (I did it a couple years ago and it fixed the problem, so I figured I would try again.) I get it all back together, and voila it starts up with one pull and idles like a champ. Only problem is, when you switch it from START to RUN the throttle doesn't work - it is stuck wide open.
I pulled the carb off, and when I tried to slide the throttle cable with the copper colored cylinder and spring on the end out it is stuck. When you push the throttle it pulls the carb, but the copper thing doesn't slide up or down. Is it caught on something, or did I put it in wrong...? It slid back in easy, but now it won't come back out. Thanks, Kenny.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU MADE A BOO BOO....it was supposed to sit over the pin that allows the slide to work up and down....

Is there any way to get it out now? I've tried over and over, but I don't want to yank on it and break something.

Ok----
Been there-done that-----Except with the choke plunger----When you cleaned it you missed a very small amount of "GUNK" which had flattened itself against the wall of the bore.
Take the cable off the throttle end---unscrew the top plate-and spray "GENEROUSLY " with carb cleaner---While spraying--grip the cable with a needle nose plier and roll the cable in the pliers until it wedges against the top of the carb---Keep spraying and rocking the pliers until it pops---It may take a while--but it will come out.You can also tap the carb body with a hammer while pulling-it will "JARR" the plunger loose.Make sure to check all surfaces for damage before reassembly.
