Well over the last few weeks I have had a few people PM me asking for picture of the bike in my avatar so here they are. Not a beauty queen, but If you only could see what I started with.
First off I got this bike for my 14th birthday in 1986. Me and my dad started with 2 200s's not sure of the year but I think they were 1984 or 85 models. My dad and Mom were divorced so the bike stayed at my dads and I lived at with my mom. We rode about twice a month at the local National Forest up until 1989. In 1989 my 2 cousins(Brother and Sister) were riding his trike and were hit by a truck on a old country road. My male cousin was killed on impact and my female cousin lost her leg. I never blamed the accident on trikes, but I just lost interest in riding. My dad sold the 200s's and kept my 250sx. He stored it in the barn until about 2001 when he threw it in the back of his truck and brought it to my house. I guess the pool chemical total corroded everything. I looked at it dreaming for a year, I even went and bought a used trimoto 175 to play around on but it was not the same. One day I decided to start selling off everything. After not selling the tri moto for what I wanted for it on ebay I decided to part it out. I made about $800 on it and started buying things for my sx. Finally got it started about a year ago. Amazing put a new carb on it and it fired right up. You probably notice the aluminum rims and different front end. I did that primarily becaude of the condition of the steel rims and original front end. Thet were so corroded they were un useable. Now me and my 4 boys have several running trikes and a bunch of project trikes. This has become an addictive hobby, I cannot wait until my sons grow up some more so we can do more challenging riding, right now they are too small. We are just taking it slow and learning the basics.
