Ok kind of new to this section, I guess because I never had much luck with the 2 wheelers, but last night I was BSing with a guy at work and he had just bought a new house. He was telling me about a old MC he had behind the barn and if I was interested I went say it was a Honda in the dark and bought it for $50. From what I can tell it is a 1978(from the rims) Honda xl 250s. I tinkered around with it this morning cleaned the plus checked this spark(Stong) check compression (strong)and the dang thing fired up and sounded good(Minus all the white smoke barreling out. The front and rear sprockets are gone, sound like some timing chain noise and I tryed to shift it into gear and it wouldn't go. What advice do you guys have for the smoke and the shifting issues, man this thing sound tough. it has the 2 into one exhaust.
