I took my boat in monday to have the steering cable replaced. Went to pick it up today. Paid for it, got it hooked up and went to pull out and I thought. Let me make sure the trailer straps on the rear are still tight. Walk back there and the lowepart of the outdrive. The lower tip or SKEG is half broken off. 4 to 5 inches of it are GONE. I go back into the shop area and tell them that my skeg is #$%@^@ now and the guy that helped me disconnect the trailer monday said that he "thought it wasnt like that when I droped it off" Also said that he had picked up on the skeg and he didnt think it was broken when he did that. The old man that runs the place said that it looked like a old break. That sent me thru the roof. You guys have seen my bikes and the way I take care of them. I take care of all my stuff the same way. I had actually hooked up the muffs and ran the boat with the hose and know for a damn fact that it wasnt broken. I have been paranoid from day one about breaking it, and I know I didnt break it. Well that said that couldnt figure it out or find the missing chunk, but they would put a new one on. THey have to cut the old one off and weld a new one back on. Grind it down smooth, and repaint it. Im just pissed that they knew it was like that and didnt even mention it to me before I left. Like "hey you know your skeg is broke off right". No, they hoped I wouldnt notice it until I got home, then they could blame me. I really hate dishonest people. Bastards. They better not try to charge me or they may have to call the cops. I WILL GO NUTS ON THEM. It pisses me off because they kinda acted like I was trying to screw them. MAN. Had to vent.
